Safety Notice 

With the commencement of the winter holiday, please be aware of Personal Property and Safety while you are planning your holidays. Please pay more attention to the following：

 1、Keep all valuables properly. Better still, take them with you when you leave school, large amount of cash should be deposited in the Bank.

 2、Make sure to lock doors and windows, and turn off water and electrical power when leaving residence halls. Never leave the keys with others, but take them along with you.

3、 Beware of potential fire hazards and enhance security awareness of forest fire. UIC prohibits any use of fire in outside space. No fireworks, sky lanterns, fire crackers or any kind of throwing of lit up materials in our campus.

4、 Beware of any fraud cases such as “Placing an order in taking profits”, “Training of senior professors”, “Resolve bundling service”, or “Scan the QR code to refund money”, etc. If you should transfer money to someone, please call them and prove their identity before take any further action. If you are a victim of crime, please call police and report all the details.

5、Do not rely on or chat with strangers. Do not easily trade with others. During travelling outside, do not go fishing or swimming at unfamiliar water ponds for vacation.

6、Strictly abide by the Law and Regulation of the Road Traffic Safety. Never talk on phones while driving, drunk driving or have any other unsafe driving behavior. Students who have just got the driving licenses should be more careful when driving. Keep your eyes on your belongings.

 7、Be mindful of food hygiene and local infectious disease. Eat less cold food and do not overeat or get drunk. Have adequate sleep and lead a regular daily life.

8、NO gathering is to be organized without approval by the local public security Bureau. Do not get involved into illegal activities and make improper comments on the Internet. Be rational and always take care of yourselves when out of campus.

安全提示 

现正值寒假来临之际，诈骗案件仍然猖獗。保卫处提醒全体师生加强自我保护意识，避免财产损失，保证假期安全。为使同学安心离校度过愉快的假期，请注意以下安全事项：

一、请将现金、存折、饭卡和笔记本电脑、手机、手表、首饰等贵重物品随身带走，不得存放宿舍，大量现金应存入银行。

二、离开宿舍前将门窗关闭锁牢，关闭所有电器电源开关和水闸；随身携带房门、橱柜、抽屉、单车钥匙，不得放置室内和将宿舍钥匙交给别人代管。

三、警惕火灾隐患，加强森林防火安全。我校禁止一切野外用火。严禁到山坡、草丛、荒地等燃放孔明灯、燃放烟花爆竹、吸烟、乱丢火种。

四、警惕“兼职刷单、名师培训、取消代理、扫二维码退运费、演唱会购票”等各类诈骗，转账前先确认对方身份，知道被骗时，立即报警。

五、外出时不轻信陌生人的花言巧语，旅途中不与陌生人攀谈，警惕陌生人求助，不要相信路边乞讨人的经历；游玩时注意安全，不要到不熟悉的水域捕鱼、垂钓和游泳。

六、严格遵守道路交通安全法律法规，做到文明驾车，减速慢行。坚决杜绝驾车打电话、酒驾、醉驾等不安全行为。特别是刚拿到驾驶证的同学，驾驶汽车时，更应谨慎而行。在公共场所或乘车时，看管好自己的物品谨防扒手偷窃。

七、在外就餐选择正规场所，不到校园周围无照经营的餐馆和街头路边小店就餐，注意饮食卫生预防疾病传染，切勿暴饮暴食；按时作息起居有规律。严禁酗酒。

八、遵纪守法，爱国爱党，不参与非法组织集会活动，不在网络上发表不当言论；不到低俗混乱和不健康的娱乐场所。
