Notice of license plate bicycle  There are frequent bicycle thefts on UIC campus & dormitories every semester and the situation has not improved. In order to safeguard your assets while enjoying your learning and living environment，a policy of license-plated bicycles will be introduced and jointly coordinated by UIC and BEIJING NORMAL UNIVERSITY. Please note that the initial registration of license plate of the bicycles will be free of charge. UIC Security Office would like to share with you the following instructions and procedures： 1. One registered bicycle will get one license plate number.  The license plate is yellow in background and black in the texts/numbers. The license consists of a main plate and a supplementary plate (small). You are required to put the main plate in a prominent position of your bicycle and carry the supplementary plate with you (e.g.  Putting it on the key holder). 2. You will be asked to pay RMB 2.00 in case the plate is lost or damaged after registration. 3. Installation venue： 
（New Campus）at the entrance gate  near the security booth 
（The Cultural  Village）bicycle parking place  in Zone F on the first floor 
Installation date/time：2015.11.19 to 2015.11.29 
Bicycles will be checked for license with effect from 30th November 2015. 4. Procedure to put on the license plate： 
Ride your bicycle to the installation venue → Register your personal information（student ID card’s information） → Security staff will help you to put on the license plate 
Please be informed that UIC and BNU’s security staff will inspect both incoming and outgoing bicycles at the security checkpoints，therefore you will be asked to produce the matched main plate and supplementary plate. There will not be any inspection if riding inside UIC and BNU campus. 5. Your cooperation and support is much appreciated. We expect this will involve considerable number of bicycles and substantial workload among staff of UIC and BNU. We all work together towards a safer learning and living environment on UIC and BNU campus.

关于我校实行自行车上牌的通知 
校园内自行车被盗时有发生，但一直没有得到有效控制，为了保护师生的财产安全，维护良好有序的治安管理环境，有效遏制不法分子企图，减少自行车丢失的情况，同时便于废旧自行车的清理和一些未锁自行车能及时准确找到车主，现结合我校实际情况，UIC与北师保卫处联合对校园区域内自行车实施上牌管理和出入校区检查制度，自行车实施第一次免费上牌的管理措施。敬请大家积极响应配合，共同创建和谐、安全、平安校园。 
实施办法具体如下： 
一、自行车牌实行一车一号，车牌为黄底黑字，分主副卡，主卡安装在自行车显眼位置，副卡随身携带（可挂钥匙扣上）。 
二、本次车牌免费发放，因丢失或损坏需要补办须缴纳工本费2元。 
三、安装地点和时间分别为：居住在新文化小镇安装点为新文化小镇大门入口保安亭处；居住在文化小镇安装点为教学楼F区一楼自行车停放处。         安装时间：2015年 11月19 日一29日。11月30日正式实施检查制度。 
四、安装与检查方式：个人将自行车骑行至安装点→登记个人信息（以学生证信息为准）→由保安免费帮助安装车牌。 车辆出入校园时请接受检查，主卡与副卡号码一致后方可通行，在UIC校园和北师珠校园区域内骑行不用接受检查，但是出UIC校园和北师珠校园时需接受UIC和北师珠保安检查。 
五、本次车辆上牌工作涉及车辆多，人员广泛，同时涉及我校与北师珠之间的协调，工作纷繁复杂，希望大家给于理解、支持和配合。也希望大家多提宝贵建议，共同做好此项工作。
